Hot chocolate
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 500 ml milk (whole or semi-skimmed)
- 8 to 10 squares of chocolate (depending on desired intensity: dark chocolate, milk chocolate or a mixture)
- 1 stick of honey (adjust to taste)
- Optional: vanilla, cinnamon or single cream
Method:
- 1. Heat the milk in a saucepan over a low heat, without bringing it to the boil.
- 2. Add the squares of Napolitain
chocolate. Add the chocolate squares to the warm milk and stir gently until they have completely melted.
- 3. Adjust the texture and flavour.
Add a stick of honey if you prefer a smoother, rounder hot chocolate.
For a thicker texture, cook for a further 1 to 2 minutes, whisking continuously.
- Serve hot
- Pour into two cups… and serve with a few Napolitains, dates, wafers, dried fruit and shortbread for an even more indulgent treat.
